PEEK is a thermoplastic that is light weight, stiff, resistant to chemicals and heat degradation. It has excellent mechanical strength and dimensional stability, even at high temperatures. These characteristics make it ideal for aerospace, semiconductor and industrial applications. Variations include glass filled which reduces expansion rates and increases the bending modulus; carbon filled which enhances the compressive strength and stiffness.
