What are plastic rods?

Plastic rods are solid plastic shapes made from the process of plastic extrusion. Plastic extrusion is a process where the raw plastic material is melted and pushed through a die to form a shape which hardens during cooling. Plastic rods and tubes are made using the extrusion process but differ; plastic rods are solid while plastic tubes are hollow.
